S.L. Lewis Elementary School recently helped put student safety first by hosting an Operation Safe Kid event.
In the program, a United States Secret Service representative digitally captures photographs and fingerprints of each child using the children's identification system. If a child is missing or abducted, the document can be reproduced immediately for mass distribution to local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Students brought in parental consent forms to participate.
